Two weekends ago I woke up at 5 a.m. to join my two friends Kah Jeng and Kok Chiang to Putrajaya hoping to see the sunrise and take lovely photos in the Botanical Gardens. Not only did we not get there before sunrise, it was so damn hazy and gray, t’was really a bad day to be out taking photos.

We did however notice an ant hill, and trails of ants everywhere. Then we clicked away, amazed by these little creatures.

Why should we be more like ants?

1. Night of day, ants work hard like there’s no tomorrow–we should be thankful for every minute, every hour, every day.
2. All ants are friends–so everyone is our friend.
3. Ants work in a team, all the time–so we can get solve problems quicker, together
4. They are obedient and respectful to the hierarchy–we must remember those who raised us
5. Ants can adapt easily to fit the environment–thus we must make ourselves more agile in various conditions

If we can practice just these 5 points mentioned above, we’d achieve another milestone in our short time on earth.

1. I’m a Rooster, born in the morning ard 8 am, but yet no significant resemblance of personality to this creature — i need my beauty sleep can?

2. I’ve lived in Shah Alam almost all of my life but went to kindy, primary, secondary, college in Subang Jaya. Neat!

3. I’m chicken shit. I noticed this nature since primary school. My friends would run and play in the monsoon drain in front of school and i remain standing by the side, watching. I still am chicken shit till today.

4. Let’s just say…i was never an A student till i got to Uni.

5. I lived in Melbourne for 18 months to complete my degree, and at the same time met my soulmate

6. Contrary to what Dave says, I’m not an air stewardess.

7. I produce seaport related conferences which are run 6 times a year in the continents of Asia, Africa, and Australia. Which is why my husband sometimes think I’m an air stewardess.

8. I “still” love my job. Yes, “still”.

9. Buying electronic components for a renowned manufacturer was my first job after i graduated. Did that shit for a year and a half.

10. It takes me 20 minutes to get to work, Monday through Friday. And 20 minutes to get home, Monday through Friday.

11. If you don’t already know I love baking. I also have a certificate from Taylor’s College on cake decorating.

12. I asked myself if i could take up a course in anything, i want to learn how to sew.

13. I make my own vanilla extract. From Vodka. Now you know why my cakes tastes so good.

14. Recently bought myself a 2nd hand DSLR and still learning how to use it. Free lessons appreciated.

15. Transitioning into a Mac user (blame Dave!). But still have to use Windows in the office. Bleks.

16. Don’t take away my TVB dramas. I WILL bite.

17. I told Dave that I won’t take time to do this #25 random things but here i am, 40 mins into the note, still trying to figure out what to write from 18 – 25.

18. We chose our wedding date 1 year before but yet manage to pick such a historic day to wed—Election Day.

19. Because of point 18, my first time ever that i could go vote, tak jadi.

20. I love bling blings. Mei Li just blinged up my phone with lovely stickies. Wonder what else i can bling up?

21. I tried to snowboard before i could even ski. Dumb rite?

22. Wondering if I can stop at #22 before i reveal too much of my deepest, darkest secrets.

23. Very afraid of dogs (except pups which are like half sedated) cos Dave’s dog bit me before. Trauma wei!

24. Accepted Christ as my saviour and was baptised in water end 2007.

25. Talk about random, i purposely put #24 with that statement so it can GO with the theme of this bloody note that took me 1 hour to write.
